Terms of Use

These terms govern your use of larenova.co.za and the services we offer. By using the site, requesting a quote, or engaging us for work, you accept these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the site.

1. Who we are

2. Information on this site

This site is for information about our roofing, waterproofing, asbestos, thermal coating and maintenance services. Content is provided in good faith and is correct to the best of our knowledge at the time of publishing. We may update services, prices and details without notice. Photos on the site are illustrative; actual results depend on substrate, conditions and the agreed scope.

3. Quotes and contracts

Submitting a website form, WhatsApp message, email or phone enquiry does not create a contract. Work is contracted only via a separate signed quote and acceptance. Quotes are valid for 30 days from issue unless we say otherwise in writing. Material prices may change after that period. Quoted scope, exclusions, programme and warranty terms are set out in each quote — please read them.

4. Payment

Unless agreed otherwise in writing in your signed quote, the standard payment terms are: deposit on acceptance, progress payments at agreed milestones, and the balance on completion and sign-off. Late payment may attract interest at the prescribed rate under the Prescribed Rate of Interest Act.

5. Warranties

We warrant our products for 8 years and our workmanship for 1 year, subject to the terms set out in your signed quote and any product technical data sheets we attach.

Warranty cover. Defects in product or workmanship under normal use, where the system has not been altered and where the property has been reasonably maintained.

Exclusions. Damage caused by storm, hail, fire, structural movement, settlement, foundation movement, or alterations or repairs by anyone other than La Renova; pre-existing defects we did not contract to fix; failure of substrates that are outside the scope of the quote; and ordinary wear and tear.

Claims. Email info@larenova.co.za with photos and a description. We will inspect within 14 working days and respond.

6. Asbestos work

Asbestos work, where La Renova undertakes it, is performed in line with the relevant South African regulations on asbestos handling. We will provide the regulatory paperwork (where applicable) on request. If your project involves asbestos disposal we will tell you who handles disposal and how it is documented.

7. Health, safety and access

Roofing is dangerous work. While we are on site, we ask that you and other occupants stay clear of the working area. We supply our own safety file, PPE and signage. You agree to provide reasonable access to the property, water and an electrical point. Please tell us in advance about pets, children, fragile features and any health conditions affecting access.

8. Use of this website

You may not attempt to disrupt the site, scrape it for resale, copy our content for your own commercial use, or use it in a way that violates South African law. We reserve the right to block any IP address or user that does so.

9. Intellectual property

All copy, images, designs and materials on this site are owned by La Renova SA or used under licence. You may share links and quote short extracts with attribution. You may not republish substantial parts without our written permission.

10. Privacy

Our handling of personal information is set out in our Privacy Policy. By using this site you acknowledge that policy.

11. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent allowed by South African law, La Renova’s aggregate liability for any claim arising out of work performed is limited to the amount paid by you for that work. We are not liable for indirect, consequential or special damages. Nothing in these terms limits any right you have under the Consumer Protection Act 68 of 2008.

12. Governing law and jurisdiction

These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of South Africa. Any dispute is subject to the non-exclusive jurisdiction of the High Court of South Africa, Western Cape Division.

13. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. The version number and effective date at the top tell you which version you are reading. The version that applies to a job is the one in force when the quote was accepted.
